Meet Your Dentist
Get To Know Dr. Kunho Roo
Dr. Roo was born in South Korea and raised in New York. He has always been detail-oriented, and he became fascinated with dentistry during his first year studying biochemistry at Stony Brook University in New York. After completing his undergraduate degree, he went on to study dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry where he graduated as a member of OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilon), a national dental honor society that recognizes students who have excelled academically. He graduated from dental school in 2016.
After graduation, Dr. Roo worked as an associate in Peoria, Illinois, where he learned the value of continuing education and offering a wide variety of specialty treatments. He dedicated significant time to mastering specific procedures, focusing on areas such as root canal therapy, complicated extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth extractions), and implants. This experience allowed him to refine his detail-oriented skills and acquire techniques to ensure a positive patient experience.
In 2018, Dr. Roo had the opportunity to visit central Texas and instantly fell in love with the captivating Hill Country vibe. Inspired by this enchanting atmosphere, he made the decision to relocate in 2019, and since then, he has cherished every moment in Texas.
The warm weather of Texas provides the perfect backdrop for outdoor activities, and Dr. Roo wholeheartedly embraces this. During his free time, he finds joy in running and golfing, allowing him to stay active and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

What to Expect
We’ve worked hard to create an environment that is warm and welcoming to all people. When you first visit Pinetree Dental, you’ll notice that each member of our team loves what they do, especially when it comes to interacting with patients. You’ll be greeted by our front desk staff, who will answer any of your questions prior to your appointment.
Once you’ve checked in and completed any forms, you’ll be taken back to our treatment rooms, where our hygienists and doctor will be ready for you.
If you’re taking advantage of our new patient special, you’ll receive a cleaning, oral exam, and x-rays, which Dr. Roo will review with you. You’ll always have time to share any questions or concerns, and our team will work with you to come up with an individualized treatment plan.
